Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born on March 23, 1976. Her most famous work is her roles in the films Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her character was Julia Meade, the main character in Mission: Impossible's action-spy show Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) was recognized. Monaghan also starred in True Detective's debut season (2014) as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the character of Sarah Lane. Monaghan appeared as Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah which was cancelled after a single season. Monaghan was the child of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob and John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is from Irish and German heritage was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. She relocated to Chicago after graduation to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she started modeling. She has also modeled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in the United States. She quit New York for an acting career following her 1999 journalism degree. She worked as a model as well as appearing in various magazines and catalogs, before making her acting debut. Monaghan's first two TV credits, both as a support character, were for episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Monaghan also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in "Consent" The episode that aired on the 19th of January 2001. Monaghan also made her first big-screen appearance the following year on Perfume which she played the role of Henrietta. She also acted as a acting support in Unfaithful in 2002, which starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and others.
