Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress. She is best known for her appearances on American daytime television, as well as guests on shows that are episodic and made-for-television movies. Sofer received the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her character Lois Cerullo on the soap series General Hospital. Since 2013, she has appeared as Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. The family later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when, following divorce of her parents, [citation neededshe moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was based in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi of Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School in 1998, she continued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to perform as Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a manager for a band. Her first appearance on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera host. Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her role as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). She was later an actor on the show (February 7-17, 1997; September 30th - October 2nd 1997). Her portrayal of the outrageous Lois was a huge hit and earned Sofer an award in the form of a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Best Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. Sofer has joined CBS's soap-opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The first episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has appeared on several prominent prime-time TV shows in a supporting cast member or guest star role: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
