Natalie Dormer
was born on 11 February 1982. She is an English actress. Her accolades include
winning an Empire Award, and receiving nominations for the Critics' Choice
Awards and two Gemini Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was
born in Reading, Berkshire. She was known by playing the character of Anne
Boleyn in the character she played on the Showtime series The Tudors (2008),
which earned her widespread acclaim. In Sweet Nothings (2010), she made her
stage debut. She she also played the Duchess Of York in Madonna's W.E. (2011),
and Private Lorraine in Captain America the First Avenger (2011). The Young Vic
praised her performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer was a target of
international attention and praise for her role as Margaery Tyrell on the HBO
series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the last two parts of The
Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015), which rank as her top-grossing movies. She
has also portrayed Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series Elementary
(2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016) and voiced Onica in the
TV series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). Her character in Penny
Dreadful: City of Angels in a miniseries on Penny Dreadful, was highly and
highly acclaimed. Dormer was born 11 February 1982 in Reading, Berkshire
(England) as the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards. She is also
the mother of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
