Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell also worked at several of the city's most prestigious establishments, studied the Italian food and culture, and participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating, chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. This has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. Additionally, she is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity in the capacity of mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Anne has always been grateful she could share the passion that she had for cooking with others.
